Making Money With Domain Names
Word Clouds have gone by a few different names such as “Million Dollar Pixel” or “Million Dollar Home Page” and a slew of others however the concept is still the same. A website is set up with a script that allows other webmasters to purchase a Text Link on this page rather cheaply in order to advertise their own site.
Normally these Word Cloud websites offer a Google Pagerank link, and the higher the Pagerank of the Word Cloud site the more the text links sells for. Simple.
You have a few options when obtaining a high Pagerank domain to set your Word Cloud site up on. The obvious and more expensive/time consuming way is of course to buy a domain, obtain backlinks to it and wait 3 months for Google to assign it a Pagerank value.
The easier solution is to purchase a Pre-Existing Pagerank domain and set up your Word Cloud and your good to go. Pagerank domains can be purchased from places such as the iDomainSite Domain Name Forums on a daily basis, and if you shop around a Pagerank 5 domain will run about $80 and up.
Ok, you have your Pagerank 5 domain and next step is to download a Free Word Cloud script. Simply paste “TareeInternet Free Wordcloud” in to Google, they have a great free one, it’s the first result. It’s simple to set up, automatically makes payment to Paypal, you can set your link pricing and numerous other options.
Once set up, you can customize your Word Cloud through the admin section and give it a custom logo and unique text in the header and footer to help you cloud stand out from the crowd!
Another good option is to head over to Seologs.com and run your URL through their free Pagerank checker and you will be presented with a nice big shiny button verfiying your Word Cloud is a Valid Pagerank 5 (or whatever PR domain you purchase) which basically says to people this is the real deal.
Right, you are all set up and ready to sell links so now what? Well back to the DigitalPoint.com forums or iDomainSite.com forums, and they have a link sales section where you can advertise your links for sale. This is a very popular and busy section, and a heading such as “PR5 links - $10 for 12 months!” will attract some attention. You can expect to sell 10 in no time thus covering your costs and starting to spin a profit.
