Computers have taken technology to a new high; people are using computers for varieties of purposes and usage. PC cards have been in use for long time now, they are basically interface used and designed specially for laptops and various other forms of computers. Their main purpose was for expansion of memory in computer. Most widely used form of computers use network cards, hard disks and modems. Net cards have been in use for quite a while now. The notebooks manufactured in the year 1990s has type II slots having no barrier in between the two types.
PCMCIA reader was first designed in US mainly used in computer industry. they were similar to that of JEIDA memory card devices manufactured by company in Japan. These 2 big giants were merged in the year 1991 and were known by the name PCMCIA 2.0 or JEIDA 4.1. This smart card reader or writer was basically designed to plug into standard PC slot. This was mainly used as a peripheral for laptop PC or mobile users. These products are simple to use and also to install. It’s not necessary to possess a real deep technical knowledge to use these devices.
There are variety of products invented to be used for business related purposes, the unique business unit cards are used for payment purposes that is called as card personalisation and card endoding. The types available in card personalization are thermal transfer print, embossing and ink jet print. These are basically available for card encoding that is magnetic stripe. The hybrid cards encode both types of cards.
